Basic file

A base file (also log file called) is a specifically designed acts parallel to the land register . It contains all deeds and documents that are related to a corresponding land register for a specific property (§ 10, 12 GBO; § 24 GBV). The documents on the basis of which changes are made in the land register must be kept by the land registry in this basic file of the property in accordance with Section 10 GBO .

Content of the basic file

A basic file contains all the important documents and deeds that have been created with regard to a land register for a particular property. These are among others:

Electronic management of the master file

Similar to the land register, the basic file can be continued in part or entirely electronically (Section 135 (2) GBO). The respective state government itself determines the point in time for the electronic continuation of these files by legal regulation.
