Basic form
Basic form denotes:
- generally the form on which something is based
- special:
- a graphic primitive , an elementary geometric object
- in grammar the unflexed form of a word, see infinitive and nominative
- in lexicography the citation form of a word, the lemma
- in lexicology and linguistic morphology the word stem or lexeme
- in prehistoric archeology, a blade or a knock off that has been modified to make tools
