Gudeg

Gudeg is a well-known traditional dish from Central Java that is particularly popular around the city of Yogyakarta . The main ingredients are young, unripe fruits of the jack tree , which are cooked in coconut milk for several hours. The taste is refined with finely chopped and pureed shallots and garlic. The dish is seasoned with Thai ginger , coriander , kemiri nut , kaffir lime leaves and palm sugar . In addition Teakbaumblätter the jackfruit pieces to dye reddish added. The dish is served with rice, chicken, tofu , tempeh and hard-boiled eggs.
