Guided Tour (EDP)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Guided Tour ( guided tour ) in the hypertext research - especially in the context of e-learning - a fixed sequence of information units for a user . Usually this is done in such a way that it is possible to page back and forth to the next or previous unit as well as to jump to the first and last page. Guided tours are primarily intended to help inexperienced users or laypeople in an extensive field of knowledge to orientate themselves initially. For more advanced users, guided tours can also be a limitation because they contradict the hypertextual feature of the non-linear form of organization.
