geography
The island is located in the northwest of Ghoubbet-el-Kharab. It is round and clearly recognizable as a former submarine volcanic cone . Oyster fossils have been found on the summit . It measures only about 500 m in diameter. Together with the neighboring island of Ounda Guinni Kôma and the Baddi Kôma peninsula (Presqu'île de diable, ⊙ ), on which there are two other well-preserved craters, it is part of the Ardoukoba volcanic area, where the East African rift opens .
