Guldborg was a Danish company that manufactured machines and motors.

history

The company was founded in 1841; it got its name after Guldborgsund , which separates the islands of Falster and Lolland from each other. She made steam engines and agricultural implements. In 1878 she apparently produced a self-propelled traction engine . The company launched the first petroleum engine in 1908, and the first diesel engines in 1916. Guldborg existed until 1977.

In 1898 Jørgen Skafte Rasmussen completed his apprenticeship at Guldborg.
