Gunnar Bovim
Gunnar Bovim (* 1960 ) is a Norwegian doctor. 2012–2019 he was rector of the Technical and Natural Sciences University of Norway (NTNU).
Life
Bovim studied medicine and became a specialist in neurology. He became professor of neurology in 1988 and received his doctorate in 1993. He later became vice dean (1996–1998) and dean (1999–2005) of the medical faculty. In 2005, Bovim became deputy managing director of the St. Olavs Clinic in Trondheim. Since 2006 he has headed it as CEO. Bovim succeeded Torbjørn Digernes as Rector of NTNU on August 1, 2013.
