Guoyu ( Chinese  國語  /  国语 , Pinyin Gúoyǔ , W.-G. Kuo-yu  - "national language, national language") stands for:

  • Standard Chinese , a synonym for the official standard language in the People's Republic of China, Republic of China and Singapore, which is mostly used in Taiwan and Hong Kong
  • Taiwanguoyu , which means standard Chinese with a heavy accent from Taiwanese
  • National language , a school term synonymous with the subject of Chinese in the People's Republic of China, Republic of China; Pronounced Kokugo ( 国語 , こ く ご ) in Japan , a synonym for Japanese as a school subject
