history
In addition to a manor house from 1696, there are also numerous farm and stable buildings on the area. In 1740 the estate passed to the von Maltitz family. In 1788 it was bought by the Wuppermann family. Various owners followed after that. During the Nazi dictatorship there was an inhumanly run forced labor camp for various Gevelsberg companies at Gut Rocholz.
The Rocholz estate was poorly preserved and was still in use until it was acquired by a real estate investor in 2006. The buildings were divided into several residential units. In addition, some new residential buildings were also built.
In November 2009 the new residents were surprised by water masses in their apartments due to heavy rainfall. During the storm on June 20, 2013, water and sewage sludge penetrated twelve apartments.
