Good Night Line

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The GuteNachtLinien are bus and tram lines operated by the Dresden public transport company , which also operate at night between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. A few lines run on slightly different routes than during the day. The stops at which GuteNachtLinien stop can be recognized by the logo: an "H" stylized as a crescent moon.

The GuteNachtLinien run daily at a certain rate:

  • every 15 minutes until 10:45 p.m.
  • every 30 minutes until 1:45 a.m.
  • from 2:25 a.m. every 70 minutes

Until 0.15 a.m., the same line network applies as in daytime traffic .

There are guaranteed connections for night traffic at several important transfer points. The most important junction is the Postplatz . Most lines meet there at certain times for the so-called "Postplatztreffen". This offers a secure connection between the participating GuteNachtLinien.

The Postplatz meeting takes place every 30 minutes from 10:45 p.m. to 12:45 a.m., then 1:15 a.m., 1:45 a.m., 2:25 a.m. and 3:35 a.m.

In addition, there are eight regional bus routes on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in the morning as a GuteNachtLinie for trips to the Dresden area. These journeys are designed in such a way that the Postplatz meeting is connected at 1:15 a.m. and 2:25 a.m.
