Church flag with three pendants

The hanging flag pieces on church flags are referred to as hanging . They are created by at least two more or less long parallel incisions on the side facing away from the flagpole. They can be straight or rounded. Fringes or tassels are also possible on the hanging for embellishment. In common language and incorrectly, the bibs on the tournament collars are sometimes referred to as hanging. An example of a flag with a hanging is that of Montfort .
