history
The school was founded in 1924 as a two-year women's trade school for white sewing and clothing making in the Hyrtl orphanage . From 1939 to 1955 it was a municipal training institute for industrial women’s professions , and from 1955 to 1963 it was a training institute for women's clothing makers . From 1963 to 1977 it was a state college for women's dressmakers , from 1973 a state college for the clothing trade and industry . From 1982 the school was called Höhere Lehranstalt für Mode und Clothingstechnik , from 1995 Modeschule Mödling with the departments Higher Lehranstalt für Mode, Fachschule für Mode, Kolleg für Mode, Hausungsschule . From 2000, a higher education institution for product management and presentation was added. In 2010 the one-year business school was closed.
