Croissant noodle

Hörnchennudeln (also: Cornetti , or regional Hörnli / Hörnchen ) are noodles named after their curved shape .

Croissant noodles are special forms of macaroni or tortiglioni . They are machine-made by pressing and cutting the pasta dough using special shapes. The curved hollow shape makes them particularly good for sauces and easy to handle with a spoon. They are usually used as a side dish, but also as a soup and for pasta salads.
