Hülsenbuscher sequoia

The Hülsenbuscher sequoia tree is a giant sequoia tree , which, with its height of 24 meters and a trunk circumference of 8 meters, characterizes the townscape of the municipality of Hülsenbusch .

It was planted by Fritz Bestgen in 1874 together with another sequoia tree that was felled in January 2014. The aim was to designate the remaining sequoia tree as a natural monument .
