Hüseyin Dağ (born January 17, 1968 in Şanlıurfa ) is a former Turkish football player and coach. Because of his activity he is associated with Şanlıurfaspor .
Player career
Dağ's playing career is little known. It is documented that he received a professional contract with the local club in his hometown, the third division club Şanlıurfaspor , in the summer of 1993 . Here he came as a supplementary player to a few game stakes, but was part of the team that was champions of the league as in the third division season 1994/95 and thus achieved promotion to the 2nd Futbol Ligi . His contract with Şanlıurfaspor was extended until 1997. The following two years of his career are unknown. In 1999 he started working as a trainer.
Coaching career
Dağ began working as a coach in the summer of 1999 and was the first to look after the reserve team of Şanlıurfaspor, which was then known as the PAF team. After a year he began to work for the club as a youth coach.
From the summer of 2001 he worked as an assistant coach to the professional team, before he was used again as a junior coach for Şanlıurfaspor after a year in this position. He was released from this position in January 2003 and instead took over the professional team of the club on an interim basis. After about six weeks, he handed over his office to his successor.
In August 2008, Dağ was finally appointed head coach of Şanlıurfa Belediyespor , the then second club of Şanlıurfa in professional football. He was responsible for this club until November 2004.
In February 2005, he was then hired as head coach at Şanlıurfaspor and looked after the team until the end of the season.
For the 2008/09 season he took over Şanlıurfa Belediyespor for the second time in his career. After two months in this activity, he left this club again. In March 2010 he then worked in the youth department of this club, but only stayed in this position for two months.
He then worked for the youth department of Şanlıurfaspor for three years and took over the club's reserve team in the summer of 2013. In March 2014 he became the head coach of the professional team and was supposed to take care of the team until the end of the season. After no success, he dissolved his contract at the end of November 2015 by mutual agreement with the club management and thus left the club again.
