H-Hockey is a hockey variant for players in hand-operated wheelchairs . Both athletes with and without disabilities can participate in this sport in Germany .

Game and material

H-hockey is played on an indoor playing field with boards and measuring 26 m × 16 m (at least 24 m × 14 m). The goals measure 2.50 m (length) × 0.40 m (depth) × 0.40 m (height). Can't play behind the goal. The goal of a team is to use a floorball stick to push the perforated plastic ball (22.3 - 22.9 cm in diameter) into the opposing goal. The team that has scored more goals after the regular playing time of 2 × 20 minutes is the winner of the game. An H-Hockey team consists of five field players and a goalkeeper, whereby at least two players must have a physical disability .

H-Hockey is not only played in Germany. The sport originally comes from the Netherlands. International tournaments are held at irregular intervals in which the German team regularly competes for the top places.
