HAREC ( Harmonized Amateur Radio Examination Certificate ) is a harmonized within the European Union amateur radio license .

The European Conference of Administrations for Post and Telecommunications ( CEPT ) has ensured with the reciprocity agreement T / R 61-02 of different European countries that the national amateur radio certificates are mutually recognized.

This enables radio amateurs to carry out radio operations in the countries that have acceded to the agreement without an additional license. With administrative decrees 10 and 11 from 2005, this regulation became part of the Amateur Radio Ordinance ( AFuV ) and thus implemented into German law.

The German amateur radio license of class A corresponds to the CEPT amateur radio license according to CEPT recommendation T / R 61-01.

An amateur radio license of the German class E is sufficient for the ECC recommendation (05) 06. This allows owners of the German class E (ex class 3) - with a corresponding note from the BNetzA - to operate amateur radio in the signatory states without further permits. This regulation works in the same way as T / R 61-01 - but by no means in all countries of the world.
