HMSAS Natal (K10)

The HMSAS Natal (K10) was a Loch-class frigate of the South African Navy . It was originally called HMS Loch Cree , was renamed HMSAS Natal in 1944 and handed over to the South African Navy. From 1957 she served as a survey and research ship and was sunk off the Cape of Good Hope as a target ship after she was decommissioned in 1972 . The ship was named after Natal , a region of South Africa.
