HMS Jupiter
HMS Jupiter is the name of the following British ships, named after Jupiter , the supreme Roman god :
- HMS Jupiter (1778) , a 4th class ship with 50 guns, launched in 1778 and scrapped in 1808.
- HMS Jupiter (1813) , a 4th class warship with 50 guns. From 1837 it was used as a troop transport andconvertedinto a coal hulk in1846. In 1870 it was scrapped.
- HMS Jupiter was a coal hulk that was launched in 1833 as a 5th class ship with 44 guns named HMS Forth (1833) . In 1869 it was renamed Jupiter and sold in 1883.
- HMS Jupiter (1895) , a warship the Majestic class , which was launched in 1895 and scrapped the 1920s.
- HMS Jupiter (F85) , a destroyer of the J-Class , which was launched in 1938 and was sunk by a mine hit the 1,942th
- HMS Jupiter (F60) , a frigate of the Leander class , which was launched in 1967 and in 1997 sold for scrap.
