HMS Sidon
HMS Sidon (named after the battle near the city of Sidon in Lebanon, which was shot at and captured by an Anglo-Austrian fleet on September 27, 1840) was the name of two British warships:
- HMS Sidon (1846) was a frigate launched in 1846 and scrapped in 1864.
- HMS Sidon (P259) was a submarine of the Subtle class . The boat was launched on September 4, 1944 and sank on June 16, 1955 in a torpedo explosion.
