The HMS Smyge is an experimental ship of the Swedish Navy . It was built mainly to test stealth technology . Findings from experiments with this ship flowed significantly into the planning of the Visby class . To achieve high speeds and to further reduce the signature, the SES concept was also implemented, which reduces the draft by creating an air cushion generated by a lifting fan.
