HMS Thunderer
Six ships of the Royal Navy were named HMS Thunderer . These ships were:
- HMS Thunderer (1760) , a third rate ship of the line that was scrapped in 1780.
- HMS Thunderer (1776) , a ketch rigged radeau that sank on Lake Champlain in 1777.
- HMS Thunderer (1783) , a third rate liner that was scrapped in 1814.
- HMS Thunderer (1831) , a battleship of the second rank, which since 1863 as target ship used in 1869 HMS Comet and 1870 in HMS Nettle was renamed and sold the 1,901th
- HMS Thunderer (1872) , a Devastation-class ironclad that was sold in 1909.
- HMS Thunderer (1911) , an Orion-class battleship that was sold in 1926 and demolished in 1927.
A Lion-class battleship (1939) was also to be called HMS Thunderer . It was ordered in 1939 and work was finally stopped in 1944. The Royal Naval Engineering College was also named HMS Thunderer in 1946 .
