The Handball Spielgemeinschaft Albstadt is a handball club from the town of Albstadt in Baden-Württemberg . The syndicate was merged in 1997 from the handball departments of the clubs EK Ebingen , TSG Margrethausen and TSV Lautlingen .
Women's section
The women's division of the club played from 1997 to 2001, 2004 to 2006 and in the 2010/2011 season in the 2nd handball league . The best placement in the 2nd division was first place in the 1998/99 season; the possible promotion was waived.
In the 2012/2013 season the team plays in the 3rd division .
Venue
The Mazmannhalle is located on Gymnasiumstraße in the Ebingen district of Albstadt . It holds a total of 1200 spectators with 800 seats and 400 standing places.
Youth tournament
The HSG Albstadt has been running a youth tournament for high-class teams since 2010. The aim of the tournament was to offer the youth players a platform on which they could put their skills to the test. The tournament serves as preparation or dress rehearsal for the youth qualification games (determination of the division before the season). The qualifying tournaments always take place one week after the tournament.
