Penumbra species

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Partial shade tree species is a distinguishing feature of trees with regard to their light requirements.

Plants need light to grow, but the demands on the enjoyment of light of the different tree species are very different. Partial shade tree species can tolerate light shade from other trees. Representatives of the penumbra species are hornbeam , spruce , linden , elm , sycamore maple and Douglas fir .

Other tree species according to their light requirements are light and shadow tree species . These demands have an impact on the mix of tree species, the viability of the secondary stand and the selection of maintenance methods in forest management.
