The stopping view is a visual range at the junction and serves as a parameter for the design of roads. This is the range of vision that a vehicle driver on a junction access point should have in order to be able to recognize the right of way control in good time and react accordingly (i.e. stop). In addition to the speed at which you are driving, the longitudinal inclination of the approach to the intersection and the route are decisive for the required visual range. If the junction is in a tight curve, the right of way control must be announced to the vehicle driver before the curve.
The visual range for stopping is based on the permissible speed and the longitudinal inclination of the road on urban roads, and on the design class of the road and the longitudinal incline outside of town.
