Hamad Hassan

Hamad Hassan ( Arabic حمد حسن, DMG Ḥamad Ḥasan ; * 1969 in Baalbek ) is a Lebanese university professor and communal politician. From January to August 2020 he was Minister of Health in the Diab cabinet .

Live and act

Hamad Hassan studied medicine at the Moscow Medical Academy. He was the head of the laboratory science department at the Lebanese University Medical Faculty . He is also President of the Baalbek Municipal Association and was President of the City Council from 2013-16.

On January 21, 2020, Hamad Hassan, as a representative of the Shiite community and at the proposal of Hezbollah , was appointed Minister of Health in the Hassan Diab cabinet.

After Hassan Diab resigned as Prime Minister on August 10, 2020, the minister remained in office until a new cabinet was formed.
