The Hamza Bey Mosque was a mosque in the old town center "Ófalu" in Érd . From this mosque only the 23 m high minaret , one of only three in Hungary today , and the mihrab are preserved.

history

The mosque was built in the 17th century in place of a 16th century fort by the Bey by Székesfehérvár Hamza Bey. Érd himself was then known under the name Hamzabég.

museum

The minaret is now the landmark of Érd and can be climbed via a narrow spiral staircase. The balcony offers space for up to 5 people and offers a view of the old town.
