Hand pedal

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The hand pedal (also finger pedal ) is a technique used in piano playing , in which keys are silently pressed with the ball of the hand for the purpose of resonance , and as a finger pedal also in guitar play . The term comes from the fact that the pedal is normally used to influence the sound .

However, the term hand pedal can also mean something else. For example, there are bicycles that you drive using your hands with the corresponding hand pedal.
