Craft Museum Bocholt

The handicraft museum in Bocholt shows a total of 28 handicraft professions on an area of 720 m² . In addition to the representation of now extinct craft trades, such as the wagon blacksmith and the linen maker , the practice of current professions ( baker , farrier , book printer etc.) in past centuries is shown.

In order to preserve memories from earlier times, the museum was founded in 1993 on the basis of a private initiative. In several half-timbered houses the visitor will find over 4000 tools, devices, books and drawings, all of which bring the art of the craft to life. After the death of the founder Walter Dues, the museum was closed and reopened on May 19, 2019.
