Hanley (Staffordshire)
Hanley is the most populous of the six cities that make up the English city of Stoke-on-Trent . It is the heart of Stoke-on-Trent, in which there are many pubs, cafes, clubs, museums, theaters and also shops (especially the largest shopping center in Stoke, the so-called "Potteries Shopping Center"). “Going up Hanley” therefore means something like “going out”.
