Society as a whole has a responsibility here. In 2018 he commented on the so-called " MHG study " published by the German Bishops' Conference and called it "spectacularly unsuccessful".

Church movements

To this day, Lütz is committed to the advancement of various new spiritual movements that became influential in Rome during the pontificate of John Paul II and for whose coordination the retired German cardinal Cordes was responsible in the Vatican for many years. For the 2017 book about "the value of human life" ( Brother Death. Live in Dignity and Die in Dignity ) by Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia , who is one of the founders of the spiritual community of Sant'Egidio , and the book on the occasion of the community's world peace meeting in Germany, Manfred Lütz wrote the foreword.
