Hans-Jürgen Philipp

Hans-Jürgen Philipp (* 1964 in Kirchen ) is a German composer .

biography

After studying music and working for the Army Music Corps in Koblenz of the German Armed Forces as a trumpeter, today's professional colleague has led brass bands as a conductor. He himself works as a musician in various formations and composes music of different styles. Among other things, he took part in the 1st Giselher Klebe composition competition with the opera "Carsten Curator" based on a novella by Theodor Storm . On May 3, 2014, he won first prize in the composition competition of the Volksmusikerbund (VMB) NRW with the symphonic poem Der Knabe im Moor . A detailed article appeared in the magazine “Eurowinds” as well as in the magazine of the VMB NRW “Crescendo”. Philipp lives with his wife and daughter in Hamm / Westphalia.
