Hans Dormbach

Hans Dormbach (born June 4, 1908 in Cologne ; † unknown) was a German racing cyclist .

Hans Dormbach drove his first race at the age of 15. In 1924 he started at the German Fighting Games in his hometown, which were held because German athletes were not allowed to take part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris . In 1928 he was nominated for the team pursuit for the Olympic Games in Amsterdam ; the German four-wheeler was eliminated in the second round. Dormbach then went professional , but fell so badly in 1929 that he had to give up his cycling career.

After the Second World War , Dormbach was involved in organizing bicycle races, B. at Germany tours and at the Road World Cup in 1954 in Solingen . Until 1982 he sat on the competition committee for around 40 six-day races.
