Hans Erich Boenigk

Hans Erich Boenigk (born March 4, 1943 in Bielefeld ; † November 2, 2000 ibid) was a German neuropediatrist and epileptologist .

Life

After studying in Marburg and Kiel, Boenigk worked at the Bethel Epilepsy Center from 1975 (where his grandfather had previously been a deacon), and from 1978 as the head physician of the Children and Adolescents Department.

From 1988 to 1998 Boenigk was a member of the editorial board of Epilepsy-Blätter. Newsletter and magazine of the German section of the International League Against Epilepsy .

He was also the (co-) author of numerous articles in specialist journals (including on the pharmacokinetics of anti-epileptic drugs or their side effects) and books and (co-) editor of seven books:
