Hans Kinkeldey

Around 1500 a master brewer by the name of Hans Kinkeldey lived in Rodenberg , and through his brewing art the citizens of Rodenberg achieved a wealth that was not to be despised. The beer he brewed became known far beyond the Schaumburg borders. In memory of Kinkeldey, the "Kinkeldey Fountain", planned and implemented by Rainer Hobigk, stands on the market square in Rodenberg.
