Hans Zscheckenbürlin

Hans Zscheckenbürlin (first mentioned 1408; † July 24, 1477 ) was a Swiss politician.

Hans Zscheckenbürlin was the legitimate son of Heinzmann Zscheckenbürlin, a conductor at Rapptolsweiler in Alsace. He became wealthy as a changer and merchant with shares in several silver mines and from 1442 represented the saffron guild in the Small Council of Basel . From 1469 to 1475 he was chief guild master and thus held the second highest office after that of mayor.
