HaPoel HaZair

HaPoel HaZair ("the young worker") was a socialist and Zionist party in Palestine before the establishment of the state of Israel .

The party, which was founded in Petach Tikwa on October 15, 1905, was merged in 1930 into the Mapai socialist party , whose successor party since 1968 has been the Avoda . One of the most important activities of HaPoel HaZair was the establishment of the first cooperative settlements and kibbutzim in Palestine.
