Urinary storage disorder

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A bladder or urinary storage disorder is an impairment of the reservoir function of the urinary bladder , resulting in unintended emptying of the bladder .

First and foremost, the forms of urinary incontinence of varying degrees of severity that occur primarily in women or in older age should be mentioned.

According to the guidelines of the German Society for Urology and the German Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, a strict distinction must be made between enuresis and all other forms of child urinary incontence in children and adolescents in order to achieve maximum treatment success. even if the ICD-10 does not value such a classification.

It is obvious that in the case of bladder malformations such as a cleft bladder (as an inhibition malformation ), the urinary bladder cannot function as a reservoir from the outset.
