Hartmut Hüsges

Hartmut Hüsges (* 1956 in Troisdorf ) is a German economist.

Hüsges studied economics at the University of Bonn and received his doctorate in 1990 from the Fernuniversität Hagen with a study on the regression estimation of scalar-valued preference functions for econometric decision models based on survey data . In 1989 he became a consultant at the Federal Ministry of Economics. He has been working in the Federal Ministry of Finance since 1998, where he is head of the section “Analyzes of the economy, growth and tax revenue; Tax Estimates ". In this function he is chairman of the tax assessment working group. His partner Sascha was seriously injured in the attack on Breitscheidplatz in 2016 .
