The house at Roten Siel - WJ Fisser is one of the oldest buildings in the seaport town of Emden in East Frisia that still exist in its original appearance .

The building on the Roten Siel, a branch of the Faldern Delft , in the Klein-Faldern district, survived two world wars unscathed. Located on the south bank of the Ems-Jade Canal , next to a new, exclusive Emden luxury quarter, it is one of the most important buildings in the city of Emden, such as the Gödenser Haus directly opposite and the New Church at the beginning of Friedrich-Ebert-Straße , the oldest Evangelical Reformed Church.

The house became known through the wine wholesaler and liqueur factory founded by the WJ Fisser company in 1845. This is still evident today, in addition to the tendril ornaments and stone faces, the grape ornaments on the solid brick facade.

In addition to this listed facade, the house is characterized by the typical Wilhelminian style Prussian caps - eighteen brick vaults per floor - which should ensure an even storage temperature and sufficiently resilient floors. A product of the company also known as Liqueur Factory and Distillatie WJ Fisser is a liqueur in a seal bottle.

After the business dealt with at the Emden location, the building was initially used as a furniture store and was finally taken over by a private owner at the beginning of the 21st century, who developed it into a living and art studio while maintaining its unique character.
