history

The band from Boston , originally founded as a "side-project", played their first show in July 2003. In November of the same year, the first demo recording followed , which attracted the attention of the Think Fast! Records, under which the band released the EP What Counts in 2004. After various appearances in the United States, Have Heart moved to Bridge Nine Records in 2005 . The following year the album The Things We Carry was released. The first tour outside the USA took the band to Europe in 2005. In 2008, Songs to Scream at the Sun, the last album to date, was released, followed by another tour through the USA, Canada and Europe.

In 2009 the band announced their breakup. Have Heart made their last appearance at the Edge Festival in October 2009.

In 2015, Patrick Flynn, Kei Yasui, Shawn Costa and Ryan Hudon founded the band Free, together with guitarist Austin Stemper, who helped out on a Have Heart tour in 2009, which released two EPs by 2017.
