Hecker Emora

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Emora was the name given to the built-in motorcycles that were built by the Hecker motorcycle company at Imhoffstrasse 24 in Nuremberg from 1922 onwards. These built-in motorcycles were sold to various motorcycle manufacturers, such as Ludwig Maurer , who then mostly built their own smaller engines up to about 200 cm³ and gearboxes into these chassis and sold them under their brand. They were actually reinforced bicycle frames with normal cranks and chain drives to the rear wheel, small plug-in tank, improved fork for front wheel guidance, wheels, saddle and handlebars. In 1923 a new version of the Emora came on the market, now equipped with running boards instead of pedals. During these years the engineer Peter Pazicky also manufactured similar undercarriages under the name Arminia and engineer Eugen Seeger, in competition with Hecker.
