Heegner circuit

The Heegner circuit is a crystal oscillator . It was developed in the 1930s by the Berlin engineer Kurt Heegner and patented in Germany, Great Britain and the USA. According to the patent, the circuit can be constructed with one to three electron tubes. Today, junction field effect transistors replace the tubes.

functionality

In addition to the crystal Kr, the Heegner circuit has two resonant circuits, L 1 / C 1 and L 2 / C 2 . They ensure a good match of the quartz with its internal impedances Z 1 and Z 2 . By changing the oscillating circuit frequency, the frequency of the circuit can be changed within small limits (“pulling”). Decreasing C 1 and C 2 increases the frequency of the oscillator.
