The Heidemoor Brockzetel is a protected, extensive natural monument in the area of ​​the city of Aurich in the Lower Saxony district of Aurich in East Frisia . It bears the number ND AUR 00121.

Description of the area

The extensive natural monument designated on July 17, 1987 lies west of the Landreiterweg and south of Brockzeteler Straße in the area of ​​the Aurich district of Brockzetel . It consists mostly of a raised bog with woody approaches and water-filled bog holes. There is a hail bush as well as cotton grass , lung gentian , pipe grass and peat moss . The district placed the area under protection for reasons of species protection and its relationship to the history of the landscape.
