Career

After completing secondary school, completing an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman and a few years as a technician in the design office, she opened a small body shop in Pirmasens , where she offered nutritional supplements, clothing and advice on bodybuilding, fitness and competition preparation.

In 1987 and 1988 she took part in powerlifting championships and won the German championship title in the class up to 52 kg. In 1989 she switched from weight lifting to bodybuilding and fought her way to her goal of being an IFBB professional with the world's best "female BB on stage".

In 2001, by receiving her professional license, she was the only woman to represent Germany at the big IFBB Pro Grands Prix in the USA, where she was able to secure a place in the finals at almost all professional championships.
