The Heilandskirche is located in a small park at Preinsbacher Straße No. 8 in the municipality of Amstetten in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria . The Evangelical Lutheran parish church belongs to the Evangelical Superintendentur AB Lower Austria of the Evangelical Church AB in Austria . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

A preaching station was started in 1913, and in 1922 there was an independent parish.

The church was built in 1955/1957 according to the plans of the architects Fritz Rollwagen and Rudolf Pamlitschka and consecrated by Bishop Gerhard May .

architecture

The simple rectangular building under a gable roof with varying window shapes has a western facade tower to the side.

The interior of the church shows an open roof construction supported by an eccentrically arranged, slim row of round pillars.

The somewhat recessed older rectory was built in 1905 according to the plans of the builder Adolf Prokesch. The representative villa with rich facade details as banding and half-timbered houses has stuccoed ceilings on the upper floor.
