biography
Helen Doron studied linguistics and French at the University of Reading and taught at the University of Poitiers in France before doing a Master of Arts in linguistics. Doron began by understanding and speaking English as a second language - teaching (ESL English as a second language). After a few years she developed her own methodology known as the Helen Doron Method.
In 1985 Doron pioneered her language learning methodology that works on the "natural" way of language learning: through repeated listening and positive affirmation. In 1990 she opened the first learning center. Today, the Helen Doron Educational Franchise Group is a trademark under which children learn English on four continents. The method is taught in small groups in afternoon courses and also systematically in schools.
