Helico

Helico was a legendary Helvetian blacksmith handed down by Pliny the Elder , who is said to have brought dried figs, grapes, olive oil and wine from Rome to his homeland. The Celts, who were previously unknown to these delicacies, are said to have decided to cross the Alps to invade Italy.

A historical background to this tradition cannot be determined; it can be assigned to the legend . Their origin is unknown.
