The Helicopter Association International (HAI) is an international association based in Alexandria , in the US state of Virginia .

history

The association was founded in 1948 by a small group of helicopter operators. In 2010 the association counted 3,000 companies in 73 countries that operate 5,000 helicopters with 2.3 million operating hours per year.

Events

Every year the association organizes the four-day HELI-EXPO . The fair is considered the most important in the helicopter industry, in 2013 736 exhibitors presented their products and 20,393 visitors from all over the world attended the event.

Publications

HAI has published the ROTOR magazine since 1988 , which appears quarterly. Various publications are also sent out by email.
