The Helipuerto de la Cartuja is a helipad in the district of Isla de la Cartuja in Seville , Autonomous Region of Andalusia .

The airfield approved with ICAO code LEEX was built in 1988 as part of the Expo on the Isla de la Cartuja peninsula and complies with the guidelines of the international ICAO fire protection category heliport.

During the Seville World Exhibition in 1992 , the square was used for round trips and feeder flights. In addition to the passenger transport and air rescue base, the heliport is also the location of INAER's rescue helicopters for the Seville metropolitan area. In addition to offices, hangars, and a fire brigade, INAER's maintenance halls are also located on the site. The operator of the airport is the company Transportes Aéreos del Sur in cooperation with the aviation companies Helicópteros del Sureste and INAER. The owner of the airport is the state company AGESA.
